kolya's life was eventful from the start. his father died when kolya was barely a teenager. seeing his mother struggling to make ends meet, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

he scammed, stole, and gambled to keep his family afloat. kolya became quite proficient in sleight of hand and other such trickery.

eventually, his actions caught up to him, and he was imprisoned for his crimes. the calico got out, eventually, and got involved with the sons of stultus. he briefly joined them, but betrayed them to join athos' pirate crew at the first chance he got.

"what i'm doing? oh, just the usual: running from people who want me dead."
