growing up, konnan wanted to become an actor. he somewhat achieved that by becoming a stunt performer, starring in a few d-list action movies.

however, in an unfortunate turn of events, konnan got injured on set. the resulting hip injury would force him to quit his job, as konnan was permanently disabled.

in the months following the accident, konnan got into speedrunning. he eventually started streaming his runs on the internet. this is now his main source of income.

"so, this was back when we first added point rewards. this person asked me someting like, 'hey, are you gay or straight'?

i was aiming for a sub-59, and- i was so focused on the run, i said 'i'm great'. i- i literally said, 'i'm great'."
